Management Consulting

Advisory for the decisions that move the numbers

I advise senior finance leaders on AI adoption, complex transactions, and building the teams that execute. The engagements are hands-on, scoped to the problem in front of you, and built to leave your team more capable than they started.

Where I work

Complex transactions and technical accounting

Deal structures, revenue recognition, and post-close integration on high-stakes transactions. The work that helps decide whether revenue holds up under review.

Backed by the Deals Desk

System and business integration

Owner-side planning for ERP and systems integrations: scope the work, control total cost, and select an implementation partner on comparable terms, with the requirements and economics kept with management.

Use the Integration Blueprint

AI adoption and enablement

A plan for putting AI to work in finance without losing control of the numbers, and the enablement to make it stick with your team rather than stall in a pilot.

Backed by the AI Adoption Method

SOX and controls, AI-augmented

Build or modernize a SOX 404 program with a governed data layer, AI on every step of testing and documentation, and the auditor-acceptance work handled first, so your team owns the judgment and keeps the cost off a six-figure GRC platform.

Use the AI-Augmented SOX Framework

Monetization and pricing strategy

Strategy, go-to-market, and monetization for emerging companies and new lines of business, grounded in how the economics actually work.

Org design and team building

Org design, IPO readiness, and building the high-performing finance teams that carry the work after the engagement ends.

Embedded teams and interim coverage

Senior finance and systems specialists embedded with your team: ERP implementations, technical revenue work, controller and close coverage, and bridging leaves or departures, with every engagement scoped and quality-reviewed by me.

I have trusted Devon and his team with some of our most complex and important work, including billions of dollars of commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, technical accounting, finance transformation, organizational strategy, and AI adoption. Devon does more than identify risks. He helps leadership understand what the findings mean, which issues require action, and how to move forward. He is one of the most capable and versatile finance professionals I have worked with.

The fact that I have continued to work with him throughout my career reflects the level of trust I place in his judgment, responsiveness, and ability to deliver. His deliverables consistently meet or exceed the quality I would expect from a partner at a leading Big Four firm, while often being more practical, responsive, and tailored to the needs of the organization.

How an engagement works

Every engagement is scoped individually. We start with the problem in front of you, agree on what a finished, defensible result looks like, and shape the work and the timeline around it. There is no fixed package and no public price, because the right structure for a technical accounting review is not the right structure for an AI enablement program.

When the work is standing up AI capability inside a finance team specifically, that runs through a dedicated AI Center of Excellence engagement. Executive education and team workshops run through training.

Tell me what you are working on

A transaction that needs a second set of eyes, an AI rollout that has stalled, or a team that needs to level up. Send the context and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
